Cinco de Mayo 2008

A.J. WEST Celebrates

Cinco de Mayo was celebrated on the 1st of May at A. J. West. Parents, teachers, children, singers, violin players, and dancers packed the gym. It was the best show in town.

Getting your hair fixed is an important preliminary step in a good Cinco celebration.

There was an abundance of art.

The Tamale Ladies were very popular.

Big girls twirl skirts, young girls twirl each other.

The skirts were beatutiful.

What could be more fun than to be a girl and have a skirt to twirl.

Wild dancing broke out in the audience.

Some celebrations have Mariachis Bands but we have......Mariachis Violins!.

It was a great day to be a girl.
