May's Positive Learning Trait
The positive learning trait for May is determination.  Determination is defined and demonstrated in the following ways: setting goals, making sure the goals are right, ignoring distractions, not being discouraged by others and facing problems head on.

Out of Area Students

If you live outside of the Central Park attendance area but within the Aberdeen School District and your child is currently in kindergarten through fifth grade, you must sign an out of area choice form prior to the end of the school year in order to secure an enrollment spot for next year. These forms are due on or before May 23rd.    Students living outside of the Aberdeen School District need to have an out of district choice form filled out and returned to the school office by May 15. Persons caught falsifying addresses in order to enroll a student will forfeit all their children's enrollment privileges at Central Park.
Preschool/Kindergarten Registration
To register a child for preschool/kindergarten, parents or legal guardian need to bring immunization records and a birth certificate.  To be eligible for preschool, children must be four years old on or before August 31.  To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be five years old on or before August 31.
Next Year’s Staffing
Due to an anticipated enrollment decline at Central Park and throughout the Aberdeen School District, we anticipate one teacher per grade level next year.  Specific grade level assignments for teachers will be announced later.

Odds and Ends

  • PTO is scheduled for Thursday, May 27 at 7:00 PM. Elections for next year’s officers will be held.  If you would like to serve, please let one of this year’s officers or Mr. Sawin know. The PTO is always looking for helpers and it is fun.
