At the beginning of each school year we have to take a STAR test. The STAR test tells us our reading level. Once we find our reading level we find a book in our reading range. After we finish the AR book we have to take a test. After we take the test we get a grade from 0% to 100%. If we get 100% we get all the points possible for the test. If we get 50% or lower we fail the test.

Pictured above is our AR Cougar Country Board. When a student reaches the 10 point level we can put our picture in the 1st box. When we reach the 25 point level we move our picture to the 25 point section, and so on to 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, and 200.

Our P.T.O. has donated funds so that each time we earn an additional 10 points we receive a certificate to be used to buy different things at the AR Store, which is open one afternoon a month.
