The Aberdeen School District Board of Directors encourages community attendance at all Board meetings. Copies of the agenda for each meeting are available at the Superintendent's office. An opportunity to make comments is available to patrons at each meeting. You may also read a Summary of the Board Minutes for Mar 18 2008 Board meetings are held regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the meets in the District Office Board Meeting Room. Changes in meeting dates, times or locations are publicized in the newspaper and on the school district web page. Sandra Bielski
was elected to the board in 1988, Position #5. Her
current term will end in 2009. Sandra and her
husband own Fern Hill Cemetery. They are both very
active with music boosters. Jennifer Hagen
was elected to the board position that she was
appointed to last spring when Jim Fett resigned.
Also a graduate of Weatherwax High School, she has
been an active proponent of school levy and bond
campaigns. Jennifer has two young children, a son
and daughter, both attending McDermoth
School. Jeremy Hawkins
replaced former board president Lynne Lerych.
Jeremy, a Weatherwax graduate, is a stock broker
and financial planner and manager of an independent
local brokerage firm, Canoe Creek Financial
Services in Aberdeen. He has two young children who
will be attending Aberdeen schools, a boy age 5 and
a girl age 2. Jeff Snell also a
Weatherwax alum, replaced Jack Micheau. Jeff is a
retired Aberdeen High School administrator with 31
years of public education work experience. He has
continued his work in the education field with the
Washington State University teacher training
program in conjunction with Grays Harbor College
and is a familiar face in
classrooms. Doug Smith was
appointed to the board at the February 4, 2003
board meeting. He was elected in November 2003 to
fill a vacancy for Position #4. His current term
will end in 2009. He is an Energy/Conservation's
Service Manager with Grays Harbor PUD. |
