The goal of Aberdeen School District Internet filtering is to protect students from inappropriate sites. These might include sites that promote tobacco, alcohol, gambling or those not related to the educational goals of the district.

We recognize that the Internet filter may also be blocking sites that you DO want to use with students to accomplish instructional goals. To that end, we have set up a simple request procedure to "unblock" restricted sites. The form for these requests is available in PDF format or as a Word Document (Use this form if you want to submit it via e-mail). Complete the form and return it to the Curriculum Department or to filter@asd5.org to request that a site be unblocked. You will receive notice in less than three days as to the status of the request. If you discover that you can access a site you believe to be inappropriate, you may use the same form to request that it be blocked.
