A Building for all Ages

The Hopkins Building, built in 1956, was originally designed as a Junior High School. Today, 47 years later, it continues as a vibrant center of learning for children and families in the Aberdeen School District. Through the years the building has been used for a variety of programs within the school district. Now it is home to:

  • Early Childhood Evaluation Center
  • Three developmental preschool classrooms
  • One four-year-old open preschool classroom
  • Snug Harbor Child Care
  • Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP)
  • Even Start Family Literacy program
  • COPE Teen Parent Program
  • Harbor High School
  • Gear-Up Program

Don Fogle from We Care Sports gives a workshop on educational play that releases energy in children.
