By August 1998, you can see changes outside, too. To the left is the new handicap ramp coming to the front door of McDermoth. New sidewalks are being poured and frames put in place for new curbing. Still, with all the changes, notice below that important historical reminders of old McDermoth are still with us. The south side of McDermoth now sports a new stairway.
	To the left you can see the back of McDermoth. The new gym is enclosed and the covered play area under it. There is a new punch-out to the building that will house the cafeteria, library and special education rooms. There is not much of the old playground left here. New blacktop will appear soon!
