Aberdeen
School District School Web Site Guidelines and
Requirements

The "home page" of
each Aberdeen School District Elementary School Web Site
will include a link to the following items:
- A introduction to
the history of the school and/or tour of the
school
- The monthly lunch
menu
- Directions for
others to find the school
- A Calendar of
Upcoming Events
- A parent page. (This
can include information about the PTO, about
parent/teacher conferences and resources for assistance
with homework.)
- A staff roster
listing names of staff and their position. Email
addresses would be nice, too.

Other school district
guidelines
- Published documents
will not include student's phone number, street address
or box number, or names of other family
members;
- Only first names and
the initial of the last name of a student will be
used.
- The name of a
student will not appear on the same page as a picture of
the student.
- Documents will not
include any information which indicates the physical
location of a student at a given time other than
attendance at a particular school or participation in
school activities;
- Documents will not
contain objectionable material or point directly or
indirectly to objectionable material;
- Documents must
conform to school board policies and established school
guidelines.
- Additionally,
documents must be edited and approved by a referring
teacher and school principal prior to initial
publication.
