Aberdeen Early Childhood Programs

Developemental Services
Early childhood and support services are available for families whose child qualifies, based on a documented delay in their development. Services range from developmental screening and evaluation, to hearing screenings and an infant homebased program as well as a combination of center and home based services.
 
Open Preschool
 
Any child who is four years old by August 31 and whose family resides within the Aberdeen School District boundaries may attend the "Open Preschool" at no cost for a minimum of two days per week.
 
ECEAP-Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program

A no-cost preschool and family services are available for families that quallify by income level in seven school districts throughout Grays Harbor County (Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Cosmopolis, Elma, Montesano, McCleary,Ocosta). All children attend school in an "open preschool" model, which means that there are children enrolled in a public school that qualify for ECEAP or Special Education as well as other children in the community. Families are providedwith social and community service support. Transportation school meals, opportunity for parent training as well as child health and developmental screening are also available.
