The Aberdeen School District will be moving to the Common Core Standard Curriculum over the next several years.  The first two areas that will be assessed are in language arts and mathematics.  This section includes the transition documents our state is using to move from our current Grade Level Expectations (GLE) to the Common Core Standards (CCS).  The CCS have been adopted by 45 states.  This provides greater focus of resources from a number of institutions as shown by the Illustrative Mathematics Project below.

The Illustrative Mathematics Project is an initiative of the Institute for Mathematics & Education at the University of Arizona funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to provide guidance to states, curriculum developers, and teachers as they fully implement the Common Core Standards.
