School Board

The Aberdeen School District Board of Directors encourages community attendance at all Board meetings. Copies of the agenda for each meeting are available at the Superintendent's office. An opportunity to make comments is available to patrons at each meeting.

Board meetings are held regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. Changes in meeting dates, times or locations are publicized in the newspaper and on the school district web site. Doug SmithDoug Smith was appointed to the board in February of 2003. His current term expires in November of 2013. He has two children -- a daughter and a son, both of whom graduated from Weatherwax High School. Doug is the assistant general manager for the Grays Harbor PUD.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Sandra BielskiSandra Bielski was elected to the board in 1987, Position #5. Her current term will end in 2013. Sandra and her husband own Fern Hill Cemetery. They are both very active with music boosters.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Jennifer HaganJennifer Hagen was elected to the board position that she was appointed to when Jim Fett resigned. She was re-elected to another four-year term in November 2011. Also a graduate of Weatherwax High School, she has been an active proponent of school levy and bond campaigns. Jennifer has two children, a son at Miller Junior High School and a daughter who attends McDermoth Elementary School.
 
 
 
 
 


Jeremy HawkinsJeremy Hawkins replaced former board president Lynne Lerych in 2007. He was elected to another four-year term in November 2011. Jeremy, a Weatherwax graduate, is a stock broker and financial planner in Aberdeen. He has two young children.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Christi Boora, also a Weatherwax alum, was appointed in October 2012 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Jeff Snell. Her position will appear on the ballot in 2013 for election to complete the unexpired term. She holds a master's degree in school counseling. Mrs. Boora and her husband Jim have two children who attend schools in the district.
