A message from Mrs. Jugum during the school closure.
I want to tell you how much I miss all of my students. I miss you smiles, your hugs, and your stories. Although we will be apart for a while, you can still share your stories with me. Tell me about what you have been doing while you are home with your family. Read to me on a video. Write a daily journal about anything you like or dislike. Let me know how you are doing. Be kind and helpful to your family. Try to get along with your sisters and brothers. Read together, play games, work on puzzles. Laugh and tell jokes, too. I'm thinking of you every day.

    A bit about me:
Welcome to 3rd grade! This year we will have so much fun! We will become better mathematicians and readers. We will learn about our local environmental science. We will use Chromebooks as our technology tool and many Google apps for our projects. We'll also create art...lots of art. And, of course, we'll read, read, and read some more!! But, most importantly, we'll become a great team of learners and help each other to be the best we can be! Go Vikiings!

I have been teaching for 17 years at Robert Gray Elementary. I graduated from Grays Harbor College and Washington State University with my BA and teaching certificate. I earned my Master's from Lesley University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

I am married to Pete, and we have two children. My daughter, Jewels, is a graduate of Western Washington University and currently lives and works in Tacoma. My son, John, is a senior at Washington State University in the mechanical engineering program. Our family enjoyed camping, bike riding, soccer, and concerts. My husband has a cool hot rod, and we go riding in the summer. And, of course, reading. My family calls me a book nerd. It's not a bad title.
