Washington State - New Evaluation System for Classroom TeachersThe Aberdeen School District and the Aberdeen Education Association are working together on the implementation of the teacher evaluation system that will be phased in beginning with the 2013-14 school year. We have chosen the Danielson Framework as teaching model for our district evaluation rubric. This will be a three-year implementation process with approximately 1/3 of the certificated classroom teachers being evaluated on the comprehensive evaluation each year. Teachers new to the district and those in the probationary period are required to be evaluated using the comprehensive model.Below are links to more information on the Danielson Model that was chosen by the evaluation committee as the model for Aberdeen.
