• RFP for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Replacement

    The Aberdeen School District No. 5 is requesting proposals for Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Replacement at nine (9) sites.

    Proposals must be submitted on or before February 21, 2020, no later than 2:00 pmm.  The proposal should be shipped or hand-delivered to:

    Faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted. Proposals failing to comply with the requirements of this Request for Proposals may be considered non-responsive. Submittals received late will be returned unopened and considered rejected. All qualifications shall remain the property of Aberdeen School District and shall not be returned.

    Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:15 p.m., February 21, 2020, at the Administration Office of the Aberdeen School District, located at 216 North G Street.

    Suspension and Debarment Certification

    Vendor Questions:

    1. Will all equipment be delivered to one location?
      1. Yes
    2. What is the delivery location(s)?
      1. 900 Cleveland, Aberdeen WA 98520
    3. Does the School District have standard dock facilities and equipment to off load heavy pallets of equipment from a large truck or will inside delivery be required?
      1. There is not a standard dock facility, however there is a forklift on site for deliveries. Notice of delivery time preferred for any deliveries which require the forklift. 
    4. If inside delivery is required, please provide detailed information regarding any obstacles that will need to be negotiated, such as stairs or narrow doorways less than 36" wide. If applicable, please provide the approximate distance from were the requested equipment will be off loaded and the final delivery location. Please elaborate about any possible difficulties in moving the equipment inside the building.

    5. Will the School District provide a pricing sheet for the vendor to fill in?
      1. A pricing sheet will not be provided
    6. Will the School District place a single order for all equipment, or do you anticipate multiple orders and deliveries?
      1. A single order will be placed, however vendors must bid each site separately, listing price for each of the products for the building on separate lines. Each bid must include all taxes and fees on separate lines for each site. 
    7. If multiple orders are required, can you provide an approximate delivery schedule?
      1. Order and delivery schedule will be dependent upon when funding commitment letters are received from USAC. Historically these letters have been received in June. 
    8. Two of the requested APC UPS's use Li-Ion batteries. Would the school district consider quotes for UPS's that have standard maintenance free lead acid batteries?
      1. All equipment that is the same or equivalent and compatible will be considered. The equipment listed is preferred as standard maintenance free lead acid batteries may not have the same life cycle as Li-Ion based products.
