Hello Preschool Families:
I hope this finds you all safe and healthy at home! I sure miss everyone and cannot wait to see you all again soon!
The Aberdeen School District has been working diligently these past weeks to set up working from home for both staff and students at all levels. We are working hard together and I would love any feedback you may have about how we are doing and what you need to be successful as a family. I am here for you in any way I can be.
The lunch program will continue for as long as we are out of school. The info for the pick-ups is on the website.
The Preschool staff is going to be offering packets of ideas each week that will be available in paper forms at the lunch sites, and digitally on my staff web page. You can access that through the ASD5 side under the Stevens Staff tab, and my name (It’s Melissa Smith) These packets are ideas and suggestions for you to do at home if your able. In these uncertain times, if you aren’t able to do any of them, don’t feel guilty about that, just do what you are able to do! Let me know what supports, frustrations, and needs you have. Communication is a high priority with our families and students.
I will be in touch. I am available via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, via a phone message using Remind, or by texting or calling Diane Lee's school cell at 360-581-8046. Please practice social distancing, wash your hands and stay well.
Our Remind join code is 4d9ecc Please join in our conversation, this is the easiest form of communication directly to your phones and mine without sharing anyone’s phone numbers!
I’d like to try to see all the kids and for them to see each other as well. I’m looking into trying to do a zoom meeting with each class where we can all see each other and I can read a story or do some other kind of activity together. I’ll keep everyone posted about the times for these meetings.
Hugs to all of you!
