How long have you been working at Hopkins and how long in education?
I have been at Hopkins since 1992 and working in education for 34 years.
Where did you grow up and how long have you lived in this area?
I grew up on a farm in North Dakota. I moved to Washington in January 1978 and to Westport in July 1978.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Mrs. Botz, my first grade teacher. First grade was my first year of school and I learned a lot. She was kind and caring.
What do you enjoy about working with preschoolers and their families?
Preschoolers say and do funny things. I like to share what the kids do at school, supporting their skills, strengths, and giving the families the resources and information they are seeking.
What do you do when you are not at school?
I go for walks, visit friends & relatives, read, watch movies and game shows, and do soduko.
What is something that never fails to make you laugh or smile?
My grandkids and the kids at school.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To zoom from one place to another-zoom myself to Ellensburg to visit grandkids or North Dakota to visit my family.
