    Text book readings: If you have the textbook or you have downloaded chapter 13 you can read chapter 13 sections 3 + 4.  These sections deal with life in the Southern States during the early 1800's.

    Suggested Videos:  You can research school appropriate videos that deal with the following topics.

    2) The Southern Lifestyle in the early 1800's

    3) Life as a slave and slave codes/laws

    Thursday: Bonus Challenge Activity “Secret Code Book”Today you are being challenge to complete a secret code book that can be used to help people escape slavery using the Underground Railroad.

    Friday: Complete any remaining work and watch some school appropriate YouTube videos on Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman and other people who worked on the Underground Railroad.  Please write down the title of the video and include a quick write about what you learned from watching the video.

    History Schedule for June 1st through June 5th:  This week we will be combing with you ELA class for assignments and Zoom meetings.  The "Choice Board" activities found below are to be used for both your ELA and History classes.   All this information will be handed out in packets at your pick up locations,  are available on Mr. Tageants Google Classroom classes.  If you have any questions about the assignments we are available for assistance.  Please check in with us on Tuesdays.  We will be following Mr. Tageants scheduled ELA zooms.  Have a great week.

    Assignments for the week of June 8th to June 12

     Just a reminder:  This week we are continuing to combine our History and Mr. Tageant's ELA classes for our final Choice board assignments. All of the assignments will be found in Mr. Tageant's Google Classroom

    Monday

    Read over the Choice Board and decide which assingments you would like to do. Complete one of those assignments.

    Today is also our Classroom day and Mr. Tageant and I will be doing combined zooms thoughout the day/

    Thursday

    HELA studens shoule start and complete your fourth assingment.

    Friday

    Please finish any remaining assignments.  Next week is the final week of school! Hurray we made it.
