    8th grade History schedule May 11th-15th

    History Schedule for May 11th to May 15th.  This schedule gives you a daily breakdown of suggested/practice activities to work on during the week.  Please email if you have any questions, thank you.

    Note:You may either type out your answers to the assignments using google docs or write you answers out on a sheet of paper/packet and email a picture of your work.  Please make sure you write down your name and the title of the assignment.

    Monday:  Please check the schedule, your email, and get yourself organized for the week.

    1)Please read The Abolition Era Article Parts I + 2.  

    2)After the reading please complete the “We Believe” activity.

    Tuesday: Please check in with me by using Google Classroom or Zoom. 

    Wednesday: Today you are going to learn about the importance of music/spirituals.

    1)Please read the article “They Sang Spirituals”

    2)Please complete the “Answer Please” activity and don’t forget to write your new song.

    3)If available please look for some school appropriate examples of popular slavery songs on YouTube.

    Thursday: Please complete the “Decode It” activity to find out some popular spiritual songs.

    *If you have the time use the code on the worksheet to create the title to some popular school appropriate songs of today.
