• School Colors - Blue (Navy) and Gold (Athletic)

Aberdeen adopted these colors in the first decade of the 1900's. While there have been variations of the Blue and Gold theme throughout the decades, it has been a mantra that a true Bobcat "bleeds blue and gold."

    School Mascot - Bobcat

Aberdeen High School adopted the Bobcat as the Mascot back in 1926-27. Before that they were known simply as Aberdeen High, or the "Blue and Gold." The students of the high school chose the Bobcat from a long list of possible locally flavored names. Aberdeen almost adopted the Lumberjack as their mascot. Why the Bobcat was chosen is still unclear, but generations of Aberdeen High School students have gladly carried the Bobcat banner forward since then.
