Graduation Requirements Beginning with the Class of 2015
High School graduates in 2015 and beyond, must fulfill minimum graduation requirements. To receive a diploma from the Aberdeen School District, students must successfully complete the following four requirements:Graduation Credit Requirements

* A student may elect to pursue a third credit of math other than Algebra II if the elective choice is based on a career oriented High School and Beyond Plan form signed by student, parent/guardian and school representative.
** Must include one credit Contemporary World Problems, one credit U.S. History and 0.5 credit Washington State History (which includes civic, history and geography). Class of 2016 and beyond must pass a Washington State History and Government course or state-approved alternative; must also earn 0.5 credit in Civics and an additional 0.5 credit in a Social Studies elective course.

****For Art, 1.0 credit may satisfy a Personalized Pathway Requirement.High School and Beyond Plan
Students shall have an education plan for their high school experience, including what they expect to do the year following graduation.
Certificate of Academic Achievement
Students must earn the Certificate of Academic Achievement by demonstrating achievement of the high school English language arts (ELA), and math standards on the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Culminating Project
Each student shall complete a culminating project for graduation. This project consists of students demonstrating their learning competencies. The culminating project in the Aberdeen School District includes a portfolio, senior experience and presentation.Related Links
