About Mrs. Leitch
I am so excited for the 2017-2018 school year! I received my B.A. in English from a small college in Georgia in 2009, and my M.S. in Education from Saint Joseph's University in 2016. I am coming from the Hoquiam School District where I was the Special Education Liaison for the High School for two years. Then I did a brief stint as a special education teacher at the middle school. This will be my first year at Miller Junior High and my first year in the Aberdeen School District, and I am thrilled to be joining such a wonderful community!
I am originally from a small town in Virginia, and spent most of my life in the Southeast. I am married to my college sweet heart, Curtis, who is also a teacher and originally from Washington. We moved here in 2014 to be close to my husband's grandparents and other extended family. We couldn't feel more at home than we do in this wonderful community and feel so lucky to have our dream jobs here! We have a dog, named Molly, who is a goofy mix of basset hound and black lab that make her absolutely adorable.
I am a bit of a "home-body" but I also love road trips! I enjoy spending time with family, and traveling by car is a wonderful way to do that. I was lucky enough to get to travel cross country with my husband in 2014 and it was one of the greatest adventures I have experienced.
