Hello there! I grew up in a small town in eastern Washington and graduated high school in a class of only 46! I spent two years studying Elementary Education and Spanish at the University of Hawaii and then came back to Washington to finish my degree at The Evergreen State College in 2004. I went back to Evergreen several years later to get my Masters in Teaching and graduated in 2009. I taught for two years in South Bend and joined the team at Miller in 2016. I returned to school again in 2017 to earn my Career and Technical Education certificate because I believe in all types of education; traditional, alternative, and vocational!
I am married to my best friend, Joseph, and we have three amazing kids, Eric is at Aberdeen High School, while Annabelle and Elizabeth are here at Miller! When I am not thinking about school, I am busy crafting, doing home improvement projects, or spending time outside camping, hiking, and playing in the woods.
