Welcome to Miss Lyles' classroom webpage!  My name is Ivy Lyles, and this will be my 9th year teaching Kindergarten.  Teaching Kindergarten is a passion of mine!  I truly love the laughter, love, growth, and all of the chaos of a Kindergarten class.

I have lived all over the country and actually went to 24 different schools before graduating from high school!  My family always seemed to find their way back to Aberdeen, however, so I tell everyone I grew up here.  I went to school at Stevens Elementary, Miller Junior High and I graduated from Aberdeen High School.  I love that I now get to teach and coach AHS Cross Country and Track in this community.  Aberdeen is my home, and I am proud to serve this community.

I received my AA at Grays Harbor Community College and my BA in Elementary Education at City University of Seattle.  My teaching career has been spent here at McDermoth, with six months teaching overseas in Center Minami, Japan.

My partner, Josh (also an Aberdeen native), and I live in Aberdeen.  We have two sweet boys: Titan, our 10-year-old Blue Staffy, and Norris, our 4-year-old son, our pride and joy!

Outside of the school day, I coach two sports for high school: Cross Country in the fall and Track in the spring!
