My name is Jolene Powell, and I teach 6th grade English (ELA) and the Local Explorations class. This is my 26th year in education! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in 1997 from Western Washington University, and I later earned my Master's Degree in 2002 from Grand Canyon University. I achieved National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy in 2006 and recertified in 2015. In March 2019, I completed my Special Education Endorsement through Seattle Pacific University. When I'm not at school, I'm busy with my family and pets. I can often be found on local trails and enjoying PNW life! I enjoy camping, kayaking, camping, and exploring our beautiful state. I truly love our schools and community. Go Bobkittens!
