Hello! My name is Melissa Lindner and I am a 4th grade teacher here at Robert Gray! I have worked in school settings for over two years now and I am excited to try a new grade! I graduated from Western Oregon University in June 2018 with my BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While in college, I had the opportunity to teach English to 1st and 2nd grade girls in Bilbao, Spain for 6 months and I completed my student teaching in bilingual (Spanish/English) classrooms in Salem, Oregon. While my Spanish is not perfect, I can mostly communicate! Prior to moving to Aberdeen this summer, I worked as a 2nd grade teacher in Salem.
I am an avid reader and enjoy learning about history! I love researching places around the world and I hope to travel quite a bit in the next few years. So far, I have been to Canada, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, and France as well as several places in the US. Some of my other hobbies include hiking, camping, dancing, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with my family.
