Ms. Madison
Hey everyone!
My name is Jessica Madison and I am the School Counselor for our Bobcat Juniors and Freshmen with last names I-Q!
This will be my sixth year as a School Counselor and third year at AHS. My first three years I served as Oakville's P-12 Counselor. Before that, I worked as a Mobile Crisis Counselor for Columbia Wellness serving all of Grays Harbor County. I believe it is an honor and privilege to get to be a school counselor to support students along their journey academically and socially-emotionally.
I believe that all students are capable of success no matter their race, gender, economic class, religion, sexuality or ability. I strive to serve all students to help them learn and grow inside and outside of the classroom. As a school leader, I strive to be collaborative, ethical and equitable.
I am a Hoquiam High School grad, so I feel passionate about serving the Grays Harbor Community. After high school, I traveled to Iowa and then California, where I played collegiate softball in the NAIA while earning my AAS and BA degrees. I earned my M.Ed while working, coaching and volunteering in 2021.
Things that fill my cup: working out/lifting weights/Crossfit, music, fishing, hiking, swimming, and playing sports. I also spend all of my free moments with my loving and energetic dog, Blue!
