Welcome to 1st grade in Mrs. Montoure's virtual classroom. This is a new adventure for me and I am still trying really hard to connect with all of my students and families. If I haven't heard from you yet, please email me. The Aberdeen School district is working hard to plan and support families during this Covid-19 shutdown. We are meeting and discussing our options and I can't wait to share all that we are learning.
I am not only a teacher, but I am a mother of three. The three of my kids are all unique in their own ways and I want you to know that I understand the challenges of many parents right now! The struggles to meet the needs of your children/ family during this time can be very stressful. Our children are feeling disconnected and lost. They lost their connections with friends and teachers. They lost the predictability that routines bring to their world. But they have gained more time with you! They have gained precious family time!! Please give them a hug from me. Please read to them and have them read to you daily. Share your time and love with them!
I wish you all the best and hopefully, I can help you navigate through this tough time. Our children are our most precious treasures in life. I want you to know that I have your kids in my heart and I miss them all very much.
