I grew up in Aberdeen, attending Robert Gray Elementary, Miller Jr. High, and Aberdeen High School. After attending Grays Harbor College for a year, I transferred to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, graduating with my BA in Elementary Education. I later received my Masters degree from City University. I joined the staff here at Stevens in 1989, and I've been here ever since. In that time, I've taught each grade from 1st through 6th. My favorite subject to teach is Reading. It's always exciting to see all the growth that kids make from the beginning of the year to the end. I live in Aberdeen with my husband Mike, our son Eric, and our 2 cats Mara and Cassie. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, music, walking, church activities, and spending time with my family.
