All summer classes are open and offered free to incoming 9th-12th grade high school students in Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Lake Quinault, Montesano, North Beach, Ocosta, Raymond, South Bend, Willapa Valley, and Wishkah Valley Districts.
One session only! June 17th - July 3rd
Monday-Friday, 8am - 3pm
Construction basics class will give students an Introductory look into woodworking and construction. Class will cover hand/power tool safety, construction math and give students the chance to build a group project. (Occupational Credit)
Enhance your skills in the kitchen through a variety of recipes and cooking techniques. Students will work in teams to produce tantalizing dishes and elegant presentation. (Occupational Credit)
Experience working in a 4,500 square foot, state of the art shop. Students will not only learn to diagnose and repair real-world customer vehicles but also gain skills in industry documentation. This well rounded, rigorous program will prepare you for the future. (Occupational Credit)
Health Care Basics
Explore the world of health care in 13 days! Students will learn the fundamentals of working in the health care field including some medical terminology and career opportunities. (Occupational Credit)
Learn about sustainable edible gardening in raised garden beds, hydroponic and hay bale systems. Course includes cooking lessons, weekly field trips and is based on curriculum developed by Garden Raised Bounty (GRuB) in Olympia. (Occupational Credit)
Photography & Graphic Arts
Learn how to use a quality camera (provided in the class) and software designed to enhance your photos. Students will go from novice to mini-artist in this short course combining photography and graphic arts.
