I have worked for the Aberdeen School District for 9 years, with this being my first year here at Hopkins. During my 20 years of teaching, I have also taught at A.J. West and McDermoth Elementary; and outside the district at Ocosta Elementary and Raindrop Cooperative Preschool. I received my Bachelor’s in Education from Western Washington University and later my Masters in Education from City University.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. My husband and I have three children... a son in his first year of college, a daughter who is a junior in high school, and a second daughter who is in 6th cuddly Maltese puppy named Sophie.
I love teaching preschool age children and meeting with their families. Preschoolers are excited to come to school each day and are eager to learn. Their love for learning is contagious! Building relationships or partnerships with families is a wonderful advantage of the preschool program, as well.
It is a privilege to be your child’s preschool teacher and I look forward to getting to know your family better. Welcome to Hopkins!
