This is the morning bulletin for Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Last night at home, in their season finale, the Miller 8thGrade junior varsity basketball team played very hard against their crosstown rivals but fell to Hoquiam 36-45.  Showing great hustle and effort for Miller were Liam Torres, Ethan LaRoque, Naethyn Sisson, Ashton Sayre, Paul Baltazar, and Fernando Salomon.

They finish the season with a record of 6-4.

Miller 8th grade varsity basketball finished undefeated against Hoquiam in their 2 years as Bobkittens, winning 58-44 last night. Manny Garcia, Jabron Brooks and Charlie Ancich scored in double figures and Kailand Halstead added 8 points and strong defense throughout. Coach Ben would like to thank the players and managers Zoe, Annie, and Jaylynn for a great season.

 

Last night the 7th grade basketball team capped off their season with a win against Hoquiam. The team fought hard to re-take the lead and hold off the Cubs in the last minute of the game. Erick Silveria, Alex Garcia, and Skyler Dawson led the way for Miller. The team finished the season with a 6-4 record, with Leo Garcia as team MVP, Kenny Plang won the Hustle award, and Mikah Wheelan was most improved. Great season guys!

 

A short chess club meeting will be held in Mr Tangeant’s room #117 on Monday, February 24th at 2:45.  All who are interested are invited to attend.

 

Math Olympiad’s Practice is Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45-3:45.  Go to the student Center to get a snack after school and Mrs Allee will meet you there.  First practice is Tuesday, February 25th. If you are interested, please come to the office or Mrs Allee’s room to get a form to fill out. 



Are you interested in a summer job?  Ecology Youth Corps will be hiring students for summer work.  You must be 14 years old and fill out an online application. They will be accepting applications between Feb 3 through April 10.  Please see Mr Williams in the office for more information.
