Your final curriculum and supply handout for the year is ready for pick up.  Our office hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm.  Please wear a mask and make sure you are social distancing!  We will be handing them out at the front office window.

Extended Learning Program Opportunity for 6th and 7th graders July 6th-August 13th

It’s a 5-week summer session to prepare students for the upcoming school year.  The program will offer arts, STEM, English, Math, and PNW classes.  Students will be able to take two classes per day.  Please go to our MJH website under Great Things @ Miller for more information.

 

8th grade students

Aberdeen High School is offering Two summer sessions for credit retrieval for the upcoming school year, and an extended learning experience to support academic learning and growth.  If you are interested, please contact Mr. Roiko at 360-538-2051 or email at aroiko@asd5.org.

 

Attention 7th and 8th Graders!! 

Would you like to have most of your college paid for?  If so, you may qualify for the College Bound Scholarship.  It is an easy process to find out if you qualify and/or sign up.  You can go to this link here to get more information/sign up or contact Mr. Williams (6th/8th Grade Counselor) about it:   thwilliams@asd5.org

Attention World Class Scholar Scholarship Students:

The 2021 End of the Year Paperwork for 7th-11th grades is now available on the Aberdeen School District website and hard copies can be found in the Miller Junior High office. Your 5 hours of community service and the End of the Year Paperwork are to be turned in by the end of May. You can turn the paperwork into the MJH office or contact your WCS parent tracker to find out how to get it to them directly.  SPORTS UPDATE- next season

Grade 7 and 8 Girls Soccer AND Grade 7 and 8 Boys/Girls Football.  Sports packets available starting March 1st for  Grade 7/8 Girls Soccer AND Grade 7/8 Boys/Girls Football The parent/guardian information virtual meeting is TONIGHT at 6 PM.  The link is on the MJH school calendar on the website.  The sports start March 22.  We will keep updating as we get additional information.  There are no sports this season for 6th grade.

Football Information:

Grade 7/8 students playing football!  Practice starts on Monday, March 22nd, at MJH.  Tentative Practice times: 4:30-6:30 PM

 GIFT CARDS

Wednesday, Feb 24 was the FIRST day a student could have completed 20 days of attendance and doing their work!

Have you gotten your first $25 gift card yet?  If you are a student coming to in person learning, please email the principal, lgriebel@asd5.org, if you have not gotten your first gift card.  Please include your advisory teacher so we can come find you!

Distance Learning?  You can come to the office window during office hours starting on Monday, March 1st to sign for your gift card!  (Arrival and Dismissal times are busy here so you might want to avoid those times.)

Need a screen break?  Miss holding a book in your hand?Students can now check out library books at some of the  elementary school meal sites during the 11-1.

Join the Miller Afterschool Program!

The after school program at Miller is still open! We still have room to welcome students. You will have access to expert teacher help for academic hour from 2:30 to 3:30 every day. Then, you will be able to join us for the enrichment hour, where we do fun stuff. We draw, play with technology, learn sign language, do STEM projects, and even COOK Yummy food! application for After School Miller

 School Lunch

Remember you will be walking onto a school campus, so have a mask and stay 6 feet apart.

All school rules apply at the food sites, so be the best BobKittens you can be!

 School Office Hours

Please wear a mask when coming to our school.  We can not assist you if you do not have a mask on.  We will offer you a mask from our supplies if you come without one and wait for you to put it on before assisting you.  Our office is “open” from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  Practice social distancing.  Ring the buzzer.  Wait outside.  You will not be allowed in the building.  There are some office staff available to take your phone calls as well.  The school office number is 360-538-2100.
